Why is the Uniform important?
The JROTC uniform is an integral part of our program. It helps instill a sense of pride, discipline, and professionalism in our cadets. Wearing the uniform also helps students understand the importance of teamwork and unity. The uniform also serves as a symbol of respect for the military and the values it represents.

Uniform Maintenance
Maintaining a proper uniform is crucial for Army JROTC cadets. It shows respect for the program, school, and country. Each cadet is responsible for keeping their uniform clean, ironed, and free of wrinkles or tears, as well as ensuring all badges and insignia are correctly placed. Missing uniform items should be reported to the class leader immediately. A complete and correct uniform is required for all JROTC activities, and failure to do so may result in disciplinary action. Cadets may also assist in maintaining the unit's uniform supply. Proper uniform maintenance reflects a cadet's dedication to JROTC's values of leadership, citizenship, and service.

Proper care of berets is essential in JROTC to maintain a professional appearance. Berets should be stored flat or hung on a rack, brushed regularly, and kept in a cool, dry place. Cadets should also avoid touching the brim with their hands to prevent oil buildup.
Ironing your JROTC uniform is important to maintain a neat and professional appearance. Use low to medium heat, avoid pressing too hard, and pay special attention to the collar, cuffs, and pockets. Use a pressing cloth to protect embroidered patches or insignia.
Distinctive Cadet Achievements
Cords
Cords are worn by JROTC cadets as a symbol of their achievements and dedication to the program. They are typically worn on the left shoulder of the uniform and come in various colors to represent different accomplishments.
Medals
